Sifting through my backlog for stuff that’s still relevant.
-Eric Canete’s process on a creating comics page (with a page of Joe Casey script).
- Todd Haynes audio interview concerning I’m Not There.
- Frank Quitely interview (part 1) (part 2) essential listening
- Huge Matt Maiellaro interview on 12 oz Mouse.
- Video interview of Joanna Newsom – terrible interviewer, terribly put together video, but she sounds all kinds of crazy (interesting crazy) here.
- Very interesting two-part analysis of my favorite monthly book, The Immortal Iron Fist, on Thought Balloonists. (part 1) (part 2)

Must give those interviews a listen. I remember listening to a Quitely interview a while back, and it was the most annoying thing ever. The interview was in his studio, and they kept alluding to “this painting over here” or “that Superman sculpture over there”, and it was sickening. Why isn’t there a TV series doing this sort of stuff? Andrew Graham-Dixon: get on it!
And did you read that cretin’s supposedly “constructive” hate-letter to Canete? What a tube.

This one’s a phone interview so its a little less annoying.
The best part about that letter was every artist on the internet taking turns on the guy in the comments. That poor dumb bastard.
