Aw jeez, Scheider and now Gerber? This is just the week where everything awesome about the 70s goes away, huh? I’m glad Curtis Mayfield has already gone.
I’ve only read a few things by Steve Gerber, sadly I was just starting to get into the man’s work. But it’s a damn shame. Anyway you shouldn’t be reading here about Gerber. My friend Plok has spent most of the time he’s been on the internet analyzing Gerber’s work. His “Seven Soldiers of Steve” project, written with Sean Kleefeld, Jim Roeg, Spot 1980, and RAB, takes a fairly comprehensive look at much of Gerber’s 70s Marvel output. Here are all 17 parts : I. II. III. IV. V. VI. VII. VIII. IX. X. XI. XII. XIII. XIV. XV. XVI. XVII.

Rather find out from one of the crew.
That’s weird; I think I’m in a mild state of shock.
Hmm.
Very possibly I may have to have a drink.

Spot 1980 also wrote one of those Gerber pieces, Sean.
Thanks for posting links to ‘em, too
Whoooo…I think I’m rebalanced enough to go to bed, and read about Augustus. Also your blog didn’t crash my computer this time, so that’s a pretty good thing.
Also, great Scheider picture.
Also, someone asked me how I knew for sure it was Holly Hunter voicing Elasti-Girl in The Incredibles, and I almost said “because I know someone who comes over all faint when he hears Holly Hunter’s voice, and I’m sure he would’ve mentioned it if it wasn’t her.”
See? I’m practically back to normal.
More later.
