The THANKS FOR THE NIGHT/NASTY double A-side single was pivotal in my development as a young man. Funny, but both the Motorhead and The Damned performances on THE YOUNG ONES feature fairly unique, short-lived line-ups of those two bands, neither of which got to leave enough of a legacy. Shortly after, Sensible left The Damned and they became a Vanian-led moody goth-pop act for the foreseeable future, instead of investigating the hard rock direction this single seemed to be pointing them towards. And the line-up of Motorhead seen in the episode “Bambi” only stayed together long enough to record a handful of tracks that were on the compilation NO REMORSE.

None of this is of interest to anyone except me.
